Canadian telecom company VMedia announced today, the launch of RiverTV, a new live TV and on-demand internet streaming service targetting the cord-cutting community.
The platform features a bundle of over 30 channels at $16.99 a month (after a 7-day free trial) – offering a mix of tv shows and movies on local Global TV stations, CHCH-TV, W Network, Showcase, Teletoon, YTV, Treehouse, HISTORY, Adult Swim, Family, Slice, Smithsonian Channel Canada, Crime & Investigation and more.
Subscribers will also get access to US live and VOD channels – Cheddar, Drink TV, Law & Crime, Newsmax, Newsy, Real Vision and REVOLT, with more to come.
RiverTV is available through Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Edition smart TV, Apple or Android TV device. Apps for Android mobile and a web-based service are promised soon.
